For The Kids Toy Drive 2011

15 11 2011

For six years now ATS Garage and PlusONE have been hosting the annual holiday toy drive & charity car show. I tip my hat to them, Full Function Technology, Weksos Industries, and everyone in attendance as over 700 toys were collected. Even during tough times, everyone seems to be reaching into their heart and giving more each year. All those toys are going to make a lot of children happy this holiday season.

After following its build progress for SEMA, I finally got to check out RWB’s Pandora One in person. I am a big fan of RAUH Welt-BEGRIFF Porsche builds, as they remind me of 911 GT3 Cup cars of the past, but in a street version.

A few other SEMA cars

Thanks also goes out to New Haven Teacher’s Association and Union City Police Officers Association, Alameda Fire Department and The Union City Raptors Youth Basketball

WEKFEST III 2011 Part 1

21 02 2011

What can i say about Wekfest… besides being one of California’s premier car shows, drawing in thousands from all over to this little city by the bay. Every year it gets bigger and BIGGER, out growing the normal Japan town venue. I remember going to the car shows in jtown during Cherry Blossom festival, and to think its evolved so much since then, anyways enough reminiscing.

The lines….

12.5.2010 5th Annual PlusONE|ATS Garage Toy Drive

6 12 2010

The Holiday season is upon us and that means it was time for the annual toy drive put one by PlusONE and ATS garage guys. This years event was in its 5th year running, giving us a chance to give back to the less fortunate. They day brought shower after shower making it soggy all day , but people still kept showing up with toys. I tired to sneak in pics between each passing storm without getting too wet.
Also Senor Sisig made an appearance, and i got to try a Sisig California Burrito. It was pretty damn good, i will be going back!

See you guys at WekFest, which will be on Feb 20th at FtMason this year!

Nisei Showoff 2010

16 08 2010

Nisei week is my favorite excuse to go to socal and bum around with the socal heads for few days. I’m quite jealous of the weather compared to the Bay, and until this weekend, i hadn’t seen the sun in weeks. Nisei was pretty cool, i really like the atmosphere, its smaller and more i guess you want to call it “intimate”, compared to the bigger shows like wek’fest. For me socal shows/meets are always a nice fresh breath of air, new people and new cars make for a great experience.

Really starting to like the old school Toyota’s and Datsun’s. Way Way before my time, so i don’t know too much about them, but i love the lines and body styles of that era. I can only wonder what the scene was like back then.

I think the turnout of cars was good, not too many of one make. You kinda have a small look into the different car scenes and their tuning “trends”.

Anyways time for MEGA POST. Enjoy.
