Eibach Meet 2011

17 05 2011

Every year now, i try to make it down to Socal for the annual Eibach meet. The meet which brings together Honda fans from all around the country to Eibach Springs in Corona CA. For me and the rest of the Norcal guys to drive down is one thing, but some guys drive from across the country. It still amazes me how far some of the people travel, it takes some dedication. For that, I commend you guys that make that long journey!

So i wake up the morning of Eibach and look out my hotel window to see rain. Wait, it rains in socal? IMPOSSIBLE! As much as i didn’t want it to , this day was gonna start out soggy. Walked around managing to take a few shots while it was drizzling but showers started to move in and I had to take cover inside the building, but it gave me a chance to check out some of the vendors. N1 Concepts unveiled their S3200 a S2000 powered by Honda’s J32a, I can’t wait to see it in action this year! Ive always wondered what the S2000 platform would of been like with a V6, if the NSX and S2000 had a love child this would probably be something like it.

Got to meet new people and see old friends, that’s what I like about Eibach, kicking it with cool people that share the same love you do about cars. Also I can’t forget the amount of awesome Honda’s in attendance!

One more thing, Since the San Francisco Giants won the world series in 2010 I have never been heckled so much at a car event! It was awesome! I know we were in Dodger territory, that’s what made it great to see a lot of Bay Area guys rocking the Orange and Black! Ohh the stink eyes and anti Giant comments! I love socal though, so don’t hate on me too much!

Japan Relief Gathering Coverage!

5 04 2011

Let me start by saying it was an honor and a privilege to be help be a part of the Japan Relief Gathering and it wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for Jimmy Uy, Jessica Leong, Matthel Ma, and Mike Cruz. Major Props goes to them for all the logistics and organization they brought to the table. It all started with an idea to help with the relief effort, and a network of friends. We all put in a lot of time and work in the span of two weeks to make this happen, thats right.. this was put together in 2 weeks time from idea to action. Lots of roadblocks and setbacks were thrown in our way but we never lost sight of our goal, to raise money for the relief effort in japan. If we could help just one person there out of all of this.. it would be worth it.

Working the donation line, i got to see the generosity of random people. One example was this one lady in curiosity walked over to see what the crowd was about, and when we told her our cause, she reached into her purse and donated 20 dollars and walked away.

It was a long busy day for the staff, but it was worth it. I didn’t expect the amount of cars and spectators! From all makes and models , from Domestic to Euro, from four wheels to two, everyone showed up in force for the cause. I saw people I never thought I would see at a car show! I tried to take as many pics as i could, but like i said it was a hectic day for me so enjoy!

Again i would like to thank my fellow staff members for all the work and time they put in and for everyone that attented! I was stopped several times by people thanking us for what were doing! Proceeds from the Japan Relief Gathering will be going to the http://jcccnc.org/ . It doesn’t stop there though , so please donate! People still need help!

21 02 2011

Still in recovery mode from walking around yesterday, but i managed to finish my pictures. I hope Wekfest was as enjoyable for everyone as it was for me, i had a great time, got to hangout and catchup with some old friends. Got to see a few cars i normally don’t see around. I really liked looking at those all those crx’s, this silver one in particular, with the mag blue te37′s, it was a little build inspiration for myself. Until the next time.. -Rob

5.16.2010 Eibach Meet

17 05 2010

For the people that don’t know, “Eibach” is an acura/honda meet held at Eibach Springs in Corona Ca every year. Do i dare say its the biggest honda meet? Well i think it is.

Just got back to the bay a few hours ago and finished some pics. Damn what can i say, Eibach was great. Warm socal sun, and Honda’s as far as the eye could see. Like i said last year, its my “Honda Mecca”. I just think its crazy ( in a good way) that people build there cars for this event, and travel from across the country to attend! I want to say this years Eibach was bigger than last years, there were HELLA people, and we had to park pretty far away, but the long walk did us good, specially after 20 bucks worth of Kogi the night before.

Eibach has, and will always be THE meet to attend. See some nice cars, maybe meet an E-celeb, chat it up with a fellow Honda enthusiast, and just kickin it in the awesome weather. The level and quality of the builds was out of this world. Can’t wait for next year, maybe i will make it out there with the EF.. ALOT of work ahead of me if i do.

On to the pics.
